Northern Cyprus is one of the most beautiful and interesting places on earth. If you still don’t know where to spend your vacation, choose this small state. You definitely won’t regret it, because here you will find magnificent nature, a warm climate, comfortable conditions and a diverse cultural program. Every tourist will find something to do to their taste, and we will tell you how to get there by ferry.

Ferry routes to Northern Cyprus

In general, there are two ways to get to Northern Cyprus from Turkey: by plane or by ferry. Want to enjoy a trip on water transport? Choose one of the ferry routes and go on a trip.

Tashuju-Girne

This is the most popular ferry route, operating all year round. Tasucu Port is located near Silifke, east of Alanya and west of Adana. There are two transport companies that operate the ferry service. Ferries operate during the day and at night.

If time is not of the essence for you, you can go to Girne by cargo ferry. It goes 4 times a week in winter and daily in summer. The journey will take 6-7 hours, but you will be able to transport your car and move around Northern Cyprus in comfort.

A high-speed ferry also carries passengers along the Tasucu-Girne route. However, it operates only in the summer. The journey takes 2.5 hours. Passenger tickets for the high-speed ferry are more expensive than for the cargo ferry.

Mersin-Girne

The journey from Mersin, on Turkey’s southeastern coast, to Girne takes 4 hours. Ferries depart 4 times a week and arrive at their destination in 1.5 hours.

Mersin–Famagusta

Cargo ferry operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Can accommodate 400 passengers, 14 trucks and 25 cars.

Hatay–Famagusta

This is a relatively new route, but already popular with tourists. The ferry departs on Fridays and Sundays.

These are the most popular routes. In summer, you can buy a ticket for a ferry to Northern Cyprus from Alanya, Marmaris, Bodrum, Kusadasi, Fethiye, Cesme.
